The Maywood Courthouse has closed down Thursday due to a water main break, Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans has announced.
Crews are working to repair the break, which affected the Fourth Municipal District Courthouse on 1500 Maybrook Drive in Maywood. Criminal cases that were expected to be handled in person will be rescheduled for a later time. However, cases scheduled to be handled remotely via Zoom will still be heard, as well as bond court.
Acting presiding judge of the Fourth District, Hon. Ramon Ocasio III, is notifying court personnel of the changes. The courthouse is expected to reopen Friday.
