Millions of dollars have been poured into Chicago’s mayoral race, and less than a month out from the Feb. 28 Election Day, contributions are still streaming in.
Incumbent Mayor Lori Lightfoot is running for reelection and will face eight challengers. Since the beginning of 2022, she has raised just over $5.22 million in campaign funds — the most of any candidate except businessman Willie Wilson, who loaned his campaign $6 million.

Election Day for the mayor’s race is Feb. 28, 2023. If no candidate receives a majority of votes in February, a runoff election will be held on April 4, 2023.
