A 34-year-old woman and three children were injured Tuesday night in a fire that broke out at a residence in the Montclare neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Chicago police and firefighters responded to a fire shortly after 9 p.m. in the 2500 block of North Rutherford Avenue where the woman and three children, a 2-year-old girl, a 7-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, suffered smoke inhalation.
Police said they all were taken to various hospitals in critical condition.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
